Founded in 2006, Grotell Consulting provides aviation and multi-modal transportation consulting services to both the public and private sectors with a specific focus on policy, planning, marketing & sales support and government and community relations.

Robert Grotell, the firm’s founder and principal, possesses over 30 years of successful aviation, transportation management and public-service experience with an extensive background in airport and heliport planning and operations, noise complaint management systems, regional airline management and operations, mass-transit system management, transportation policy and municipal government. He has extensive project management experience in the preparation of aviation master plans, environmental studies and project proposals; FAA AIP grant processing; intergovernmental coordination and community outreach.

Mr. Grotell is also recognized as an authority on New York City’s public-use heliport system as well as aircraft noise and related community compatibility issues.
